SAN TOMMASO 10
In a Class of its Own
In 1996, San Tommaso 10 opened its doors — the first Lavazza café, where 100 years earlier Luigi Lavazza had opened his first drug store in the heart of Turin, between Via Garibaldi and Piazza Castello. This was the spot where he began to create his original blends of coffee beans, which would later become a brand known all over the world.
San Tommaso 10 is now a place where tradition, history and the future of coffee all come together, a symbol of excellence and a showcase for the world of Lavazza. The spirit and passion of Luigi Lavazza are still alive: photos and objects let us discover the symbols of a century of coffee. The walls are decorated with photos of calendars and advertising campaigns which give a visual account of the history and evolution of this company founded in Turin and which has become a world-wide name.
Not Just Coffee
To accompany coffee, San Tommaso 10 offers a vast daily selection of blends and coffee-based specialities, as well as croissants and sweet treats. For a number of years now, this unique place has also offered a sophisticated restaurant and a menu inspired by typical recipes from classic Italian cuisine, tested and adapted by the team of chefs at San Tommaso 10. The menu is accompanied by a wine list that provides unique pairings, featuring the best Italian and international labels.
Exercises in Style
Innovation, research and tradition are three key words defining San Tommaso 10.
Exercises in style and taste where aesthetics is the common denominator of all presentations, whether they are coffee-based recipes or the seasonal specialties offered by the restaurant or the ones freshly baked every day by the confectioner’s kitchen. Mouth watering and eye catching, Lavazza produce is made possible thanks to the professional expertise of the staff and the close collaboration of San Tommaso 10 with the Lavazza Training Centre.
