It is said that an incredible fire which broke out in deepest Abyssinia had burnt thousands upon thousands of coffee berries, releasing an unbelievable aroma.
The only thing the poor farmers could do, having been deprived of their crops, was to try to
use the remains of that fire. As a result
they discovered how to roast coffee beans. It was a great stroke of luck not only
for them, but also for the modern-day consumer.
