Lavazza Design Machines:
discover how an Italian coffee-break is created at the International Design Fair, fuorisalone 2010.
The exhibition and the experience
The all-Italian art of the coffee-break will be the real star of fuorisalone 2010, with the
Lavazza Design Machines
exhibition, which traces the art history of the
Art of Self Made Espresso di Lavazza
. Energy, technical finesse and aesthetics in 3 generations of coffee machines, from 1989 to
today. The staging is unique and with everything to discover, placing the visitor’s senses and the
nature of these objects, the first
social networks in history, firmly at centre stage.
The book
The exhibition at the fuorisalone is based on the history of more than twenty years of Lavazza’s
design, and technological and aesthetic choices, told for the occasion, in the book edited by
Virginio Briatore.
A meticulous reconstruction of technical details and studies that have accompanied more than
20 years
of experiments, prototypes and successes, right down to the roots of today’s domestic espresso.
The Mobile Station
A week such as the
Salone del Mobile
cannot fail to offer at least one surprise that is amazing in terms of creativity and good
taste. And hence the creation of Mirko Gabellini (the concept was conceived and developed by the
NeriMarini agency): attaching wheels to an extra large
A Modo Mio
, so as to offer an authentic Lavazza espresso to be sipped between one exhibition and another
moving around Milan.
