Meditation Espresso

An exotic, spice-laden beverage - just sip and relax

Cinnamon, cardamom, bitter orange blossom and rose petals: a few drops of essence in your espresso add a tantalising scent of far-off places


Make an espresso, either using your favourite Lavazza ground coffee or an A Modo Mio capsule of your choosing. Fill the cup completely and add a cinnamon stick to infuse in the coffee for around 2 minutes. (If you're brewing the ground coffee in a moka pot, try placing the cinnamon stick in the top part of the coffee pot.) Squeeze orange zest into the glasses for flavour; this creates an aromatic contrast that intensifies the aroma of the coffee. Pour the espresso into the glasses and add 35ml (1.18fl oz) of boiling water. The drink is now ready to be served - just sit back and enjoy a cup of pure relaxation.
