The Italian coffee tradition completed the Grand Slam

Lavazza conquers the world of tennis and will be present at the Australian Open.

From 18 to 31 January 2016, at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Lavazza will serve the aroma and taste of the authentic Italian espresso to all tournament spectators, players, staff and international press.

The Turin-based Company will be official partner to the Australian Open, thus becoming the only brand in the food and beverage industry to be partner to all four Grand Slam tournaments.

These four different competitions — from Paris to Melbourne — speak the same language: that of passion. It is the same passion that since 1895 has been driving Lavazza’s commitment to spread its coffee tradition and culture around the world.

“It is with great pride that, thanks to the partnership
just signed with the Australian Open, we can announce
that we are the official coffee of the world’s top
four tennis tournaments.”

Giuseppe Lavazza

The past years’ experience has revealed that the world of coffee and that of great tennis have much more in common than one might imagine. Tradition, authenticity and passion are but a few of the values that characterise the tournament, both outside and inside the tennis courts.

“These highly prestigious events take place
in key markets for the company, and because of their global
resonance they are the perfect fit for the brand’s
internationalisation strategy.”

In addition, Lavazza reaffirms its role as the official coffee of coffee lovers and tennis fans worldwide also thanks to Lavazza Ambassador Thanasi Kokkinakis, the up-and-coming Australian tennis sensation.
