The partnership with Slow Food

A commitment to Africa, the defence of sustainability and a focus on quality are the three pillars on which Lavazza’s presence at the Salone del Gusto e Terra Madre 2014 rests. The partnership with Slow Food began with the very first Salone del Gusto in 1996 and culminates in this tenth edition of the international fine food and wine event at which Lavazza has always played a key role.

The Lavazza Calendar project will be described to the public at the Salone del Gusto by Steve McCurry and Giuseppe Lavazza, Group Vice President, during the conference “Ten thousand food gardens for the future of Africa” (October 23, 3 pm, Sala Gialla) and also during the discussion between Mario Calabresi, the editor in chief of daily newspaper la Stampa, the photographer and Francesca Lavazza, the Company’s Corporate Image Director (October 24, 6pm, Spazio “la Stampa”).

During the Salone del Gusto e Terra Madre 2014, Steve McCurry will also be available in the Spazio Lavazza to sign copies of the Calendar on sale in a limited edition to support the “10,000 food gardens in Africa” project.

The images of the 2015 Lavazza Calendar provide the ideal backdrop against which to enjoy a cup of ¡Tierra! and Kafa at the Spazio Lavazza (Pavilion 2), where everything is related to “The Earth Defenders” project and the company’s ongoing commitment to quality and sustainability.
