The aim of Goal 14 is to preserve our oceans, seas and marine resources, adopting a long-term approach in how we use these resources, in the name of sustainable development.

The star of my artistic interpretation of Goal 14’s theme — Life Below Water — is the whale: the largest marine mammal, but also one of the most vulnerable.

For me, the whale represents the fragility of the marine ecosystem, a symbol of how it is exploited by humans in a careless, excessive and short-sighted manner.

TOward 2030 What Are You Doing? is a project conceived by Lavazza and the City of Turin, with the aim of promoting and spreading awareness of the United Nations’ Global Goals through Street Art: 18 artists have given their interpretation of the 17 + 1 Global Goals, bringing art and sustainability together.
