7. Affordable and Clean Energy

Corso Moncalieri 47

Goal 7 aims to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy sources for all.

I created this mural to call attention to the fact that we need to provide access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy for everyone.

The woman that you see in the mural is a symbol of the seventh goal, releasing a flow of clean energy. To achieve a positive result it is important to act now: this is the message of the piece.

We need to think about the future of our planet and the environmental conditions that we will leave to our children.

Three billion people, 41% of the global population, still cook using fossil fuels and equipment that is harmful to the planet.

One billion people do not have access to electricity: in Third World Countries production still depends on using polluting fossil fuels. The energy sources of the future must be clean and renewable: if we want to achieve this goal, we must act now.

TOward 2030 What Are You Doing? is a project conceived by Lavazza and the City of Turin, with the aim of promoting and spreading awareness of the United Nations’ Global Goals through Street Art: 18 artists have given their interpretation of the 17 + 1 Global Goals, bringing art and sustainability together.
