INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
Pursuant to art. 13 of Italian Leg. Dec. 30 June 2003 no. 196 ("Code regarding the protection of personal data" or “Privacy Code”), LUIGI LAVAZZA S.p.A. informs you that the personal data you provide will be processed in accordance with the above regulations and according to the criteria set forth below.
1) DATA CONTROLLER
The Data Controller for personal data processing is LUIGI LAVAZZA S.p.A. (hereinafter “Lavazza”) with registered office in Turin – Via Bologna, 32, represented by the appointed legal representative.
2) REQUIRED AND OPTIONAL DATA
The provision of personal data is optional, but it may be necessary for the completion of some of the purposes indicated (e.g. the activation of contractual and commercial relations; the management of competitions and reward operations; the sending of newsletters, etc.), in which case the non-conferral of compulsory data will not permit conduct of such activity. The obligatory or optional nature of the conferral is always indicated by the use of symbols (e.g. “*”) placed to the side of the information whose conferment is compulsory to pursue the respective purpose.
3) PURPOSE OF DATA COLLECTION
The personal data you provide will be collected, processed and retained only for as long as they are necessary and for the following purposes:
- registration(*) or access to the services offered by the Website (e.g. our newsletter, sharing of your appreciation with your friends who subscribe to the website and through your accounts of the main social networks, etc.) and the subscription to the “community” of users promoted on the Website;
(*) REGISTRATION TO THE SITE: Registration to the Site via the creation of an account or by using an existing social network account allows you to use the Site as a “Registered user”; the purchase process will be simplified and you will only have to re-enter the personal data required for the completion of an order for some purchases, not all of them.
However, we inform you that you can also purchase products through the Site without registering, but instead by simply entering some personal data for the sole purpose of completing the order. In this case, the data supplied by you will be used by Luigi Lavazza S.p.A., as the data controller, only in order to complete the purchase order. The provision of this data is in fact optional but necessary for the management of the order and for the consequent administrative-accounting purposes. You may also be contacted for communications concerning the purchase. Your data will not be communicated to third parties, other than the couriers used by Lavazza for the delivery of the purchased products.
In any case, the processing of the personal data you provide when making a purchase without registration will comply with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.
- activation and management of purchase orders, contractual and commercial relations and related activities (in compliance with the Terms of Sale);
- management of payments and deliveries of products purchased through the Site (in compliance with the Terms of Sale);
- management of competitions and prizes;
- management of technical requests relating to your purchases, such as information on the progress of your orders, and any other requests in the broad sense concerning the Site and the goods and services accessible through the same;
- prior consent, sending of brochures and promotional and advertising material relating to products marketed by the Lavazza Group, the sending of newsletters and other advertising initiatives and commercial communications, including via the use of the email address or mobile phone access you provide.
- prior consent, creation of a consumer database and analysis of habits and consumption choices, market analysis and data processing for statistical and profiling purposes, in order to improve your browsing experience on the Site and also to allow us to send you commercial proposals in line with your interests. 4) DATA PROCESSING AND RETENTION
The data will be processed with the tools and methods deemed appropriate to protect the security and confidentiality of personal data. It may be done either manually or through the use of electronic or otherwise automated tools, and it will include all the operations required by law and those necessary for the processing in question, including disclosure to data subjects as referred to in paragraph 5 below.
Some of the data may be processed via electronic networks, both with regard to local protected networks and with regard to the Internet network. With reference to the latter, the processing carried out will be subject to the security standards offered by the network.
The data in question will be processed by Lavazza employees and/or by employees of primary third-party companies appointed by Lavazza, who are authorised to process and retain the data, duly identified and instructed and made aware of the constraints set out in the Italian Privacy Law.
5) DISCLOSURE OF DATA
The personal data you provide will not be divulged or communicated to third parties, except for other companies that are part of the Lavazza Group, Italian and/or foreign, and primary third-party companies (business partners and suppliers) if and when legitimately instructed by Lavazza to carry out functional activities in order to achieve the objectives referred to in point 3 above. In any case, the data will be processed with the same guarantees of security and confidentiality offered by Luigi Lavazza S.p.A.
6) BROWSING DATA AND COOKIES
The systems and computer programs used for the operation of the Site collect some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (e.g. IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users that connect to the website, the URI – Uniform Resource Identifier – addresses of the requested resources, time of the request, method used in submitting the request to the server, file size obtained in response, numeric code concerning the status of Server response – operation completed, error, etc. – and other parameters related to the user's operating system and computing environment). Although this information is not collected to be associated with identified persons, by its nature it could, through elaborations and associations with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.
These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining statistical information, not linked to any user identification data, concerning the use of the website and to check its correct functioning, and are deleted immediately after processing. The data could be used to ascertain responsibility in case of hypothetical computing crimes against the Site.

7) DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS
In relation to the processing of personal data, you can exercise the rights referred to in Article 7 of the Privacy Code, the text of which is shown in full below.
Art. 7. Right of access to personal data and other rights
1. The data subject has the right to obtain confirmation of whether or not personal data concerning him/her exist, even if not yet registered, and the communication of such data in an intelligible form.
2. The data subject has the right be informed:
a) of the origin of the personal data;
b) of the purposes and methods of its processing;
c) of the logic applied to its processing if carried out with the aid of electronic means;
d) of the identification details of the data controller, the persons responsible and the designated representative, in accordance with article 5, paragraph 2;
e) of the entities or categories of entity to whom the personal data may be communicated or who may become aware of said data in their capacity as designated representatives of the State, and of the data processors or persons in charge of processing. 3. The data subject has the right to:
a) the update, correction or, when requested, the integration of their data;
b) the deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data that do not need to be retained for the purposes for which they have been collected or subsequently processed;
c) the certification that the operations referred to in points a) and b) have been notified, also with regard to their content, to those to whom the data have been disclosed or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves the use of means that are clearly disproportionate to the protected right.
4. The data subject has the right to oppose, in whole or in part:
a) for legitimate reasons, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, even if relevant to the purpose of its collection;
b) The processing of personal data concerning him/her for the purpose of sending advertising material or direct sales or for carrying out market research or commercial communication.
