New York Guggenheim opens its doors to Visionaries

Published on 08 July 17

Lavazza is pleased to present "Visionaries: Creating a Modern Guggenheim", an exhibition dedicated to the main figurative works of the 19th and the 20th century, Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation collection, for the 80th anniversary of its establishment in 1937.

The imposing exhibition traces the activities of six patrons, real pioneers who helped build the Guggenheim Foundation, making their personal collections available in this public institution.

Over 170 works representing almost a century of history of art: from Camille Pissarro to Jackson Pollock, passing through Manet, Chagall, Picasso and many others.

A project that confirms the commitment of Lavazza to the arts and culture, a tribute to extraordinary people who have contributed to give us a better understanding of the world around us.

Born as a family-run company built on innovation and experimentation, Lavazza is inspired by those whose foresightedness supported new forms of creative expression during the past two centuries, and beyond. With Visionaries, it is honoured to share the same vision in the search for innovation that was the strength of the Guggenheim Foundation, as well as a distinctive feature of the company's history.

An opportunity to discover the artists and the men behind the great works that have changed the meaning, form and function of art forever.
