Lavazza and tennis: the perfect match

By Lavazza Team 2/3 minutes

Lavazza has long been committed to sharing the well known heritage of Italian coffee with the World. So, since 2011, we've been actively involved in numerous prestigious tennis events worldwide, selecting our Official Ambassadors among the most talented tennis players.

WHY TENNIS & COFFEE?

Two distinct worlds blended in a longstanding collaboration to create the perfect match: Lavazza and Tennis. Precision, pursuit of excellence, traditions, and rituals are just some of the values that unite our coffees with this sport. That's why we've been present for over a decade at the most prestigious tournaments in the global tennis circuit, including 4 Grand Slam events.

Lavazza made its tennis debut on the green grass of Wimbledon in 2011, then moved to the red clay of Roland Garros later in 2015, the same year the partnership with the U.S. Open. Our commitment to tennis was further solidified by our participation at the Australian Open in 2016, making us the exclusive partner of all of the four Grand Slam tournaments until 2020.

Our dedication to tennis continues to grow, with our role as a prestige sponsor at the Rolex Shanghai Masters since 2023, the Mutua Madrid Open since 2024 and as a Platinum partner at the Nitto ATP Finals, held in Turin - Lavazza’s home, from 2021 to 2025. In this occasion, our Lavazza Nuvola headquarters becomes an annual hub for tennis fans, offering a range of experiences dedicated to this sport, while enjoying the unique aroma of authentic espresso.

A NEW GENERATION OF TENNIS PLAYERS AND AMBASSADORS

The brand aims to play a key role for young generations of tennis players and enthusiasts alike. Evidence of this commitment it’s in our sponsorship of the Next Gen ATP Finals and our support for emerging tennis talents. Among Lavazza's Brand Ambassadors have been Australian player Alex De Minaur and the stars of the new generation, Angelique Kerber and Johanna Konta, from Germany and UK. Since 2019, we've started believing in Jannik Sinner who, at just 18 years old, was already a promising talent. Now he’s a global icon and who already achieved exceptional results such as winning his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open and becoming the youngest Italian to reach world number 3 in the ATP ranking.
