On the spookiest night of the year, not all monsters have to scare us. Because there's only one real monster: food waste, and not just on Halloween!
Three renowned chefs and Lavazza ambassadors, Massimo Bottura, Carlo Cracco and Norbert Niederkofler, show us how to revive everyday, seemingly spoiled food and give it a new life.
The chefs are behind the kitchen counter to fight food waste. They prepare simple yet delicious dishes with respectively bread, tomatoes and chard that seem lifeless, proving that forgotten ingredients can actually be turned into tasteful recipes.
Despite the increasing importance of mindfulness and resource conservation, food waste remains a major problem that occurs every day.
It is in the hands of all of us to take action and curb the food waste problem. So do your part, look in your fridge for food that looks lifeless and dead, and start cooking dishes based on the revived recipes instead!
Lavazza and Food for Soul, the organization founded by Massimo Bottura, collaborate since 2015 to spread this message and activate a positive cycle of sustainability. Its goal is to encourage communities to adopt healthy eating habits and sustainable lifestyles in order to avoid food waste.
To promote social change and build community resilience, it is necessary to create a food culture that supports and promotes a fair and equitable ecosystem.
These values and projects not only unite our companies, but also contribute to Blend for Better, the platform through which the Lavazza Group and its brands communicate their commitment to sustainability issues, the platform which sets out our current positioning within the framework of CSR.
